Personal Graduation Planner (PGP)

Senate Bill 1108, passed during the 78^th Texas Legislature, requires a personal graduation plan for each student in junior high, middle school, or high school who is “at risk”.

Cambridge Knowledge Systems has developed a web-based Personal Graduation Planner (PGP) system. This program supports the community of practice model and is designed for all stakeholders (counselor, teacher, student and parents) to be able to access up-to-date information on each student.

With the Personal Graduation Planner, district & school administrators can:

• Identify educational goals for the student;
• Access diagnostic information (including prior year’s TAKS, SDAA, RPTE, PSAT, SAT scores);
• Record appropriate monitoring, intervention, and other evaluation strategies;
• Address participation of the student’s parent or guardian, including consideration of parent/guardian’s education expectations for the student;
• Compare student to various state and district graduation plans and immediately see where credit or course gaps exist.

Most districts today have this information stored in various applications or in hard copy folders. The Personal Graduation Planner software is customized to the district and or school’s existing student records system so the data is seamlessly integrated without having to enter it manually for each student. This literally saves hundreds or thousands of hours for the school administrator.

With the Cambridge PGP, there is one central repository for all pertinent student data and notes that is accessible by all stakeholders in the district.
